RAHUL GANDHI’S SABBATICAL
Once, during my internship in Delhi,
I went to All India Congress Committee. There, I noticed a complete silence
which looked common especially after the desolation that congress went through
in the recent Lok Sabha election. The same story got repeated this year, after
the result of Delhi election. Clear devastation of Congress actually presented
them their real image in the country. Before, Congress could rethink its strategy;
there erupted another problem that just changes the course of situation.
Rahul Gandhi took anonymous leave and that means,
he will remain absent from parliament for few days. On a day which saw BJP
tabling the Land Acquisition Bill, Rahul absence was inevitable as he is the
one who has questioned earlier about this bill. Rahul absence has led others
asking about his obligation as party president.
Though unclear, but, according to
sources, Rahul seems unhappy with the current working of party. That’s why he
has been granted leave so that he could not come in conflict with party president,
Sonia Gandhi. The future heir of Congress has also asked expulsion of some ministers
from the party.
While Rahul appears ardent in his
approach, Congress is in no mood to cut ministers tally as it needs them to
rebuild its strength. Where no place to hide, what will Congress do now? That’s
the question; one requires asking Madam Sonia.

Either I am stupid. Or Rahul Gandhi is a crackpot. This is certainly no time to go on a sabbatical.
