SORRY MY FRIEND, BUT WE ARE POLARISING

Whenever, India –Pakistan match been played on the field, the sense of sportsmanship gets over as soon as we put the word rivalry into it. However, we know that meeting between both the sides has always been a pressure cooker kind of situation, but we can’t even extend it as the war of two nations.

I remember, during the pre-match show, one of the news channel used the term “Mother of all Battlefield”.  Taking this game to the battlefield as if we are in some war zone is not a good thing for us. It destroys the spirit of this beautiful game. Also, it creates the feeling of separation in the minds of people.

People would think that, somehow we require victory as other is our rival nation.  On one hand, we are talking about love and on other, we just obliterating it by using rivalry as connotation for sportsmanship.


Yesterday, I heard the news that Cricket fans between both sides collided during the match. This is really bad considering the superiority we are trying to achieve by this game. Hopeful that in future, such things will not come as hindrance for this sport.
