COAL-SCAM CREATES HOLE IN CONGRESS
Manmohan Singh got majorly struck
after the court’s decision, where it summoned a notice to him for his
involvement in the Coal scam. The special court which is taking up this case,
also gave name of businessman Kumar Mangalam Birla and P.C Parikh as accused in
Coal Scam. After Narsimha Rao, Manmohan Singh is the second Prime Minister who
got charged with corruption. And, according to law, He will be under-trial for
this case which may trouble congress, if it gets proved.
Talking about this whole issue, BJP
member Sambit Patra says, “This is shameful for Congress, where its own senior
leader or former Prime Minister has been accused for corruption. After this
whole issue, they may have to rethink before making allegations against us.”
While adding respect to court’s
decision, Congress member Randeep Surjewala says, “Dr. Manmohan Singh has
always in favour of transparent politics. I am sure the court’s order will come
in favour of us.”
On the other side, Congress President,
Sonia Gandhi rallies a solidarity march of party members to the house of
Manmohan Singh, where they stood in support of former Prime Minister. Before
this, Congress even met at 24 Akbar Road where they discussed this whole
matter.
