Rift in the party
\
What is this massive upheaval within the Aam Aadmi party? Is it a clash of two ideologies? Really? Senior Party Spokesperson Ashutosh had tweeted - "There is decisive churning in AAP. It's clash of ideas between ultra left who demand referendum in Kashmir and pragmatic politics of welfarism," the TV journalist-turned-politician tweeted on Monday.
The issue started when AAP leader Sanjay Singh targeted party patron Shanti Bhushan for his comment that Kejriwal should be relaced by Yadav. "Someone from within the party, certain senior leaders are trying to remove Arvind Kejriwal from the post of National Convener, by targeting him and maligning the party," Singh told reporters. Senior leaders immediately pounced at what they saw as an emerging power centre.
Following this controversy, Kejriwal offered to resign as national convener and said he will focus on Delhi alone. But the Political Affairs Committee declined this resignation.
Matters worsened when Bhushan, in a letter to the national executive last week, said that the "one person -centric" campaign was making the party look like other parties and called for more "Swaraj" within the organisation.
The AAP had won 67 out of 70 seats they had contested for in Delhi, a landmark victory for the party which is contesting for only the second time in Assembly elections. The party has made a lot of promises and it seems like they will all be put on hold till this internal politics ends.

Churning in AAP is not a clash of personalities but of ideas. This will make way for future politics of AAP. This is my personal view.
