Media’s conduct inside J&K


The recent conduct by media while reporting the issue related with Masrat Alam is very sad. They have presented the same issue for three days in a monotonous manner. Like there was no other issue left to be discussed. Every news channel, irrespective of their language, was involved in taking Masrat Alam issue again and again.

My question is that, whether this issue was as big that no other topic got serious consideration? Why only a particular topic was taking a loop in every news channel?

Not only media at Delhi, but the Jammu Kashmir media also reported same story for three days. This led to another question whether only this story was relevant in J&K at that time? Why so, that even J&K media has failed to highlight any other serious issue?

This also really shows that media’s credibility is getting down, and no way we can improve except getting back to our roots.
