Indian farmers in deep fuss over Urea's price rise
While, on one hand the issue of Land
Acquisition bill is passing overhead, on the other hand the problem of Price
Rise over Urea is taking a toll from our poor farmers. Given the fact that, India’s population is completely dependent on Agriculture for food, raising Urea
(Important material for Agriculture) prices will certainly going to affect Agriculture.
Also, the mismanagement over the subsidy schemes is nagging our farmers. There
are reports for unavailability of subsidy rates to these farmers, which have
already lead them into trouble, as now them seems dependent on the black
markets for its purchase.
Dependent so much on black market that, they are now taking Diammonium Phosphate [DAP] and Urea at premium of 33 percent . Moreover, eyeing Government’s response over whole issue, IFFCO has already step
aside leaving farmers with no other option left. Now, the Agriculture Industry
is making serious demand for the release of the subsidy rates as soon as
possible.
If it happens, then at least farmers could
be out of this black market fuss.
